Meet the Archive

I am several years late with this post, so I suppose that makes it perfect for Bookwise. My little hobby project has always played second fiddle to life, and that is absolutely how it should be.

To anyone coming across this site now, mid-2021 and onward, read it as an archive. My late high school years are documented here pretty well, all my teenage ego and obsessions and ideas. As a person predisposed to embarrassment, I’m putting my foot down: this period of my life was formative and I refuse to regret it. Most of it, at least.

I’ve not reread most of the books reviewed here since their initial time in the spotlight, but I think the opinions are still worth it. If any of the authors have since said any sort of bigoted thing (especially without a respectable apology/response), please know that my reviews are not endorsements of character. This website, no matter how old it gets, is a safe place for people of all races, genders, sexualities, religions, and identities. Hate will not and has never been tolerated.

I am always happy to take on freelance work- in fact, that part of this site is still very much active. I do work to keep my portfolio up-to-date, and my contact information remains accurate. Please reach out if you are interested in working with me.

Thank you so much for your support throughout the years. Bookwise remains one of my greatest projects and holds many of my fondest memories, and even though new posts are sporadic (as always), I have not forgotten. I will never forget.
